Xianfu Steel to replace converter with EAF
Yunnan province’s Xianfu Iron & Steel plans to replace its 35-tonne converter by a 59-t alloy electric arc furnace. The replacement project is planned to start on 1 July 2018, to commission by the end of 2023, and is expected to improve the steelmaker's competitiveness and expand market share, Kallanish notes.
