Xingtai restricts winter production
China’s Xingtai local government has published its industrial production restriction plan for controlling air pollution in autumn-winter this year, involving several steelmakers and coking plants, Kallanish notes.
Xingtai Iron & Steel will halt one blast furnace and halt production at a 180-square-metre sintering machine from 5 October. Its 198 m² sintering machine should be idle for at least ten days per month.
