Xinyu Steel orders Danieli EAF, wire rod line
Jiangxi-based Xinyu Iron & Steel has ordered a 130-tonne electric arc furnace (EAF) and a high-speed special steel wire rod line from Danieli, according to a Danieli official WeChat account release.
The EAF is the centrepiece of the upgrade project of the original special steel plant of Xinyu Steel. It will replace the two old 50t EAFs but retain crude steel capacity unchanged at 1 million tonnes/year, Kallanish notes.
