Xinyu Steel releases EAF project plans
Xinyu Iron & Steel (Xinyu Steel) in Jiangxi has decided to eliminate existing electric arc furnace (EAF) steelmaking facilities, and build a meltshop including one new 100-tonne EAF. This is due to national capacity replacement measures and environmental protection requirements, Kallanish notes.
