Xugang signs pellet plant contract with Zhongye Changtian
China’s Jiangsu Xuzhou Iron & Steel (Xugang) has signed a contract with MCC subsidiary Zhongye Changtian for a new iron ore pellet plant, which is part of the firm’s third-phase expansion plan, Kallanish notes.
The pellet plant targets a capacity of 1.2 million tonnes/year. A stockyard with a storage capacity of 1.5m t/y will also be built.
