Xuzhou Steel starts to build new blast furnace

Xuzhou Iron & Steel Group began construction of its 2,120-cubic-metre blast furnace this week, five months later than expected, Kallanish notes. The new blast furnace has 1.8 million tonnes/year of iron capacity, and is expected to commission at its Liguo plant in June 2021. MCC20 is responsible for the construction of this project.
