Yemen carries Turkey rebar exports in January
Despite concerns over export demand, Turkish rebar exports started 2019 strongly, rising 2% on-year in January to 558,676 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Their average value, however, was $473.3/tonne versus $529.5/t in December 2017.
The January tonnage was higher than all but two monthly volumes in 2018, October and November. The destinations that took significant tonnages became less diverse, however…
