Zaporizhstal finished steel output rises despite crude drop
Ukrainian flat steel producer Zaporizhstal, partially owned by Metinvest, decreased crude steel production in August compared to the previous month, the company says.
It produced 239,700 tonnes of crude steel, down 0.4% on-month, Kallanish notes. Pig iron output decreased by 1.6% to 257,900t, while rolled steel production was however up 2.2% to 200,400t.
