Zaporizhstal’s steel output rebounds, iron falls in September

Ukrainian flat steel producer Zaporizhstal, partially owned by Metinvest, increased crude steel production in September compared to the previous month, the company says. It produced 246,400 tonnes of crude steel, up 2.8% on-month, Kallanish notes. Pig iron output however slightly decreased, by 0.2%, to 257,900t, while rolled steel production was up 0.7% to 201,900t.
