Zenith begins steel cord project construction
China’s Zenith has begun the construction of a high-quality steel cord project in Huai’an, Jiangsu, which will be carried out in three phases.
The whole project requires an investment of CNY 20.2 billion ($3.17 billion) and is expected to add 1.3 million tonnes/year of steel cord capacity, as well as 200,000 t/y of steel bead wire capacity after completion, Kallanish notes.
