Zhongxin Steel commissions new steelmaking plant
Zhongxin Iron & Steel in Jinagsu has commissioned a new steelmaking plant in Xinyi, containing two 120-tonne converters, and two billet and two slab casters, Kallanish notes from its statement.
The new plant adds 2.7 million tonnes/year of steel capacity to the company. Zhongxin also plans to put three bar production lines and one 1,780mm hot rolled coil production line into operation.
