Zhongxin Steel operates new blast furnaces
China’s Zhongxin Iron & Steel in Xuzhou city achieved on Monday the first production from its 2,05-cubic metre No.4 blast furnace, marking the full completion of its capacity replacement project.
The two identical BFs of the project have added 2.49 million tonnes/year of iron capacity to the company, boosting its total iron capacity to around 6m t/y, Kallanish notes.
