AES acquires large California solar-plus-storage project
US-based energy company AES Corp says it has acquired the developing 2-gigawatt Bellefield solar-plus-storage project in California, Kallanish reports.
The project in Kern County is in late-stage development and it is the largest permitted solar-plus-storage project in the United States. The acquisition strengthens AES’ position as a leader in providing renewable energy to corporate customers under long-term contracts, it says.
