Azure Minerals declines takeover proposal from SQM

Australian junior miner Azure Minerals has rejected a non-binding takeover offer from Chilean lithium producer SQM, its largest shareholder, Kallanish reports. The companies confirmed in separate statements SQM has submitted an indicative proposal to Azure on 12 July at a cash offer price of AUD 2.31 ($1.49) per share.
