Blue Bird sends 20 electric buses to Boston
US school bus giant Blue Bird Corporation has shipped its inaugural fleet of 20 electric buses to Boston Public Schools, Kallanish learns from a joint release.
The buses have a max capacity of 71 students and can travel 120 miles per charge. Each full charge takes about four hours.
In total, the buses transport about 2,500 students per day to 42 different schools.
