CATL releases new LFP battery with 1,000 km range
Chinese battery giant CATL has unveiled a new lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery that promises 1,000 kilometres of range and 4C super-charging capability.
The so-called Shenxing Plus product was released on the first day of the 2024 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, 25 April. The battery has an energy density of 205 watt-hours/kilogram and could have 600 km of range added with a 10-minute charge.
