Bremen council supports hydrogen project at ArcelorMittal mill

ArcelorMittal Bremen’s plan to enable hydrogen-based steelmaking has received €10 million ($11m) of funding from the Bremen city government. The funding covers half of the construction of a 12 megawatt electrolysis plant to produce green hydrogen with renewable energy. The electrolysis capacity will later be gradually scaled up to 300 MW.
