Canadian government backing study on planned Ontario battery materials park
The Canadian federal government is contributing CAD 250,000 ($196,975) to a study of a proposed battery materials park in northern Ontario, Kallanish reports.
The study was announced last month as a partnership with the government of Ontario, Electra Battery Materials, Glencore plc and Talion Metals. Those parties have contributed CAD 700,000 toward the project, which is scheduled to be completed in phases in the second and third quarters of 2022.
