Centenario lithium project reaches 60% completion rate
French miner Eramet says the construction of Phase 1 of the Centenario lithium project in Argentina, launched in 2022, has achieved a 60% completion rate on 30 June 2023, Kallanish reports.
According to the company’s H1 2023 earnings report, first production is confirmed for Q2 2024 and a full ramp-up is expected by mid-2025. The $310 million ($339m) capex for Phase 1 this year will be supported by the miner’s partner Tsingshan.
