Chile's December copper production rises sequentially, 2022 weakens
Chile saw copper output rise on-month in December 2022. Production volume, however, was also down compared to the same period in 2021, Kallanish notes.
The latest report by the Chilean copper commission Cochilco shows that copper output reached 495,800 tonnes in December. This is 9.3% more than in the previous month. Production, however, was down 2,500 t compared to the same period in 2021. December's volume was the highest of last year.
