China bans export of rare earth-related technologies
China’s commerce ministry on Thursday announced a ban on the export of rare earth-related technologies, citing national security and public interest, Kallanish reports.
Following a public consultation last December, the government decided to halt the export of technologies to produce rare earth metals and magnets. The technologies cover both extraction and refining.
