EV penetration in German new car market reaches 35.1%
Electric vehicle penetration in Germany has reached a 35.1% share in the new car market with a total of 79,117 units registered last month, Kallanish reports.
According to data released by the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), new all-electric vehicle (BEV) sales rose 31.9% year-on-year to 44,389 units. These registrations accounted for a 19.7% share of September sales, the biggest chunk among alternative drives.
