Geely breaks ground on 5-GWh energy storage battery project
Chinese automaker Geely says construction on its 5-gigawatt-hour energy storage project in Xiangshui, Yancheng, Jiangsu Province started on 8 January, Kallanish reports.
The CNY 2 billion ($282 million) project is being delivered through Geely’s Quzhou Jidian Electric Vehicle Technology. The plant will run five energy storage integrated production lines. The first phase will have a 1.5 GWh production capacity.
