General Motors will build EVs ‘to demand’ in 2024
General Motors plans to produce and wholesale 200,000 to 300,000 Ultium-based EVs in North America this year, Kallanish reports.
During the company’s fourth-quarter earnings call on Tuesday, GM ceo Mary Barra said this plan will be guided by customer demand. Based on current expectations for demand and production, GM expects its US portfolio to be “variable profit positive” by the second half of 2024.
