Gotion High-tech’s Thai JV produces first battery pack
NV Gotion, a joint venture of Thai battery firm Nuovo Plus and Chinese battery firm Gotion High-tech, has announced production of its first battery pack in Thailand, Kallanish learns.
According to PTT chief executive Atthaphon Rerkphiboon, the plant will have an initial capacity to produce 2 gigawatt-hours of cells. In the future, it could increase to 8 GWh “depending on market demand.”
