Honeywell provides BESS for US Virgin Islands solar project
US technology giant Honeywell announced that it will provide a battery-energy storage system (BESS) to six solar parks planned by VIElectron across the US Virgin Islands.
The 124-megawatt-hour system will support solar generation in St. Croix, St. Thomas and St. John while reducing the impacts of energy peaks and valleys from solar power. VIElectron anticipates completing its first project in April or May 2024.
