Hyundai to become major hydrogen offtaker
Hyundai Motor Company is building out its hydrogen strategy to create a hydrogen energy ecosystem, targeting an offtake of 3 million tonnes/year of hydrogen by 2035, Kallanish reports.
The strategy was unveiled during CES 2024 in Las Vegas, as the company highlighted the “crucial role” hydrogen will play in its sustainability roadmap. As previously announced, the carmaker plans to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
