LG Chem, Toyota sign new cathode supply deal
South Korean battery giant LG Energy Solution's (LGES) parent company LG Chem has announced it will supply cathode materials to Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Kallanish learns.
This is another major deal announced by LG after LGES previously signed a battery supply agreement with Toyota North America (see Kallanish passim).
The new deal is worth KRW 2.8 trillion ($2.1 billion) and will last until 2030.
