South Korean battery maker LG Energy Solution (LGES) is investing in Australia-based, Canada-focused lithium company Green Technologies Metals (GT1) to secure localised lithium supply, Kallanish reports.
The AUD 20 million ($13m) investment will give LGES a roughly 8% stake through the purchase of 21.73m new GT1 shares at AUD 0.92 each. Proceeds will help GT1 advance its flagship Seymour project in Ontario towards first spodumene concentrate production from 2025. …
