LGES invests in GT1 to secure lithium supply in North America

South Korean battery maker LG Energy Solution (LGES) is investing in Australia-based, Canada-focused lithium company Green Technologies Metals (GT1) to secure localised lithium supply, Kallanish reports. The AUD 20 million ($13m) investment will give LGES a roughly 8% stake through the purchase of 21.73m new GT1 shares at AUD 0.92 each.
