Rio Tinto's mined copper production virtually flat in Q2 2023

Anglo-Australian mining giant Rio Tinto has reported a slight 1% drop in its mined copper production during the second quarter of 2023 compared to Q2 2022, Kallanish learns.  Its 145,000 tonnes of mined copper production in the April-June period benefitted from the ramp-up of the Oyu Tolgoi underground mine in Mongolia.
