Russia reaches fresh EV sales record in April
Russian sales of electric vehicles (EVs) increased in April despite a big fall in the country’s overall car market, data from the Russian analytical agency Autostat shows.
New EV registrations rose to 861 units, which is nearly five times higher (380%) than the volume in April 2022. In January-April 2023, Russians purchased 2,472 new EVs, which is around 2.5 times more than the same period a year ago, Kallanish notes.
