Saudi Arabia doubles down on mining
Saudi Arabia, the world’s second-largest oil producer, is doubling down on its mining sector, with a string of announcements made this week during the Future Minerals Forum in its capital, Riyadh.
The kingdom’s industry ministry has inked mining deals with Egypt, Morocco and the Democratic Republic of Congo for mineral resource cooperation. It has also inked an MOU with Russia for cooperation in “geology and mineral resources.”
