Stellantis accelerates US battery capacity development
Stellantis and Samsung SDI will build a second battery production plant in the United States in an undisclosed location, which will start production in 2027.
The firms are currently choosing the best location which will be revealed later. The plant will have an initial annual production capacity of 34 gigawatt-hours and will be built by Stellantis and Samsung SDI joint venture StarPlus Energy.
