Stellantis inks nickel, cobalt offtake with Alliance Nickel
European carmaker Stellantis has entered a binding offtake agreement for both nickel and cobalt sulphate with Australia-listed Alliance Nickel, Kallanish reports.
The deal secures the carmaker a total supply of 170,000 tonnes of nickel sulphate and 12,000 t of cobalt sulphate, over an initial five-year period. That’s about 40% of the forecast annual production of the NiWest project near Leonora, in Western Australia.
