Stellantis opens circular economy hub in Italy
European carmaker Stellantis has opened its first “circular economy” (CE) hub, with an aim to extend the life of parts and vehicles, in Turin, Italy.
The 73,000-square-metre facility, opened on Tuesday, will focus on gearbox and high-voltage electric vehicle battery remanufacturing, as well as vehicle reconditioning and dismantling. It also plans to add additional activities to the €40 million ($43.6m) facility, Kallanish notes.
