UK consortium gets planning approval for next battery gigafactory project
Local British authorities have given the green light for a project that could be the country’s largest battery gigafactory, if and when it finds an investor, Kallanish reports.
The West Midlands Gigafactory joint venture announced Thursday the planning committees for the Warwick District Council and Coventry City Council approved the outline plans for its 60-gigawatt-hour plant. A formal approval is expected in March 2022.
