UK seeks to take lead in AI safety regulation
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Thursday launched the country’s first AI Safety Institute which will act as a UK-based “global hub” for safety testing new artificial intelligence models, as the country seeks to lead AI safety regulations.
The hub comes as part of a new agreement struck between leading AI nations and companies during the AI Safety Summit at Bletchley Park, Kallanish learns.
