Vale Indonesia nickel matte production rises in Q3
Vale Indonesia, an Indonesian nickel subsidiary of global mining firm Vale, has reported higher nickel in matte production in the third quarter, underpinned by its maintenance strategy, Kallanish notes.
The firm says in a statement that it produced 17,953 tonnes of nickel in matte in the third quarter. Production rose 2.51% from 17,513t a year ago, and 6.09% from 16,922t from the previous quarter.
