Vale Indonesia produces more nickel in 2023
Vale Indonesia produced 70,728 tonnes of nickel in matte in 2023, marking an 18% increase from 2022 production, Kallanish notes.
According to the local subsidiary of the Brazilian miner, nickel in matte output in the fourth quarter of 2023 reached 19,084 t. That is approximately 6% and 18% higher than volumes produced in Q3 2023 and Q4 2022, respectively.
