Volkswagen starts ID.4 production at converted Emden plant
German carmaker Volkswagen announced Friday the first ID.4 all-electric SUVs have rolled off the production lines at its Emden plant, Kallanish reports.
The model, a bestseller for both the Volkswagen brand and Volkswagen Group, is the first BEV to be produced on the site in Lower Saxony after the €1 billion ($1.05 billion), two-year conversion. Next year, the facility will also produce the AERO B saloon.
