Volvo Cars produces last diesel car amid shift to electric
Swedish carmaker Volvo Cars on Wednesday said it’s time to say goodbye to diesel engines and hello to electric cars, ending a 97-year history, Kallanish reports.
Announcing the manufacturing of its last diesel car, the company said the “huge milestone” is a big step towards its ambitions of becoming a fully electric carmaker. It also wants to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040.
