2022 positive, driver shortages hamper deliveries: UK distributors
After achieving record profit in 2021, UK steel distributors have entered 2022 in a positive mood, with much improved balance sheets and still holding high volumes of stock. However, the scarcity of drivers to carry out deliveries is a "serious and expensive" impediment to business, concluded participants of a UK steel distributors’ association NASS meeting last week.
2021 saw the best market conditions in at least thirty years, according to NASS.
