Algoma guidance highlights performance turnaround
Essar Steel Algoma says that it has turned around its performance. The Canada-based steelmaker has issued positive guidance for the second quarter results of its 2015 fiscal year. The Algoma Q2 FY15 ended on 30 September, Kallanish notes.
The company expects its second quarter results to include shipments of approximately 680,000-690,000 tons and EBITDA in the range of CDN$75m-80m, as compared with 642,000t and EBITDA of CDN$0.3m for Q2 FY '14.
