Rio Tinto's earnings fall on lower commodity prices

Rio Tinto has reported lower earnings in 2023 as higher iron ore pricing was offset by lower pricing for other commodities, Kallanish notes. Rio Tinto says underlying earnings declined by 11.94% to $11.8 billion in 2023 from $13.4 billion in 2022.
