Saudi mills welcome Hadeed's rebar price increase
Saudi Arabia’s largest steel producer, Hadeed, has increased it most-demanded 12-14mm diameter net rebar quote by SAR 200/tonne ($53) to SAR 3,000/t ($800), effective immediately, for March shipments.
Mills and re-rollers have welcomed the decision, since they have been squeezed between increased raw material – scrap and billet – cost and less vibrant rebar sales prices.
