US gains construction jobs in May
A majority of US states gained construction employment on-year in May, Kallanish learns from the Associated General Contractors of America.
A total of 39 states and the District of Columbia added jobs between May 2018 and 2019, and 31 states plus Columbia added jobs between April and May.
Texas led the on-year gains by state with 35,200 jobs, or 4.8%, while California led the on-month gains with 12,800 jobs, or 1.5%.
