Ahmsa carries out maintenance on two blast furnaces
Mexican steelmaker Altos Hornos de México (Ahmsa) has begun maintenance at its main blast furnaces number 5 (BF5) and number 6 (BF), Kallanish learns from the company. The steelmaker is also upgrading its blast oxygen furnace No. 2 and continuous caster.
According to Ahmsa, the maintenance will continue for around 15 days and is part of the company’s plan to reorder its production program for 2020.
