Ahmsa strip mill fire pauses production, not supply
Altos Hornos de México (Ahmsa) has reported a fire at its main hot strip mill, Kallanish notes. The accident derived from an oil leak from a pressurised pipeline during repair works on the line`s main engine on 27 October. The technical personnel of the company controlled the accident and put the area out of operation, Ahmsa says.
It is understood that due to the explosion eleven operators suffered burns and hearing damage but were not at further risk.…
