Ahmsa suffers power outage due to debt
Altos Hornos de México saw electricity supply to its production sites and company offices cut by the Mexican state-owned electricity company Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE).
The blackout follows delayed payment of MXN 123.9 million ($6.68m) for energy supply, Kallanish notes.
The situation is affecting almost 5,000 workers, although production is not impacted as some media suggest, the company says.
