AISI: US steel shipments increase in January on-month
US steel mill shipments increased by 4.3% to 7.38 million net tons in January from 7.08m net tons in December 2023, Kallanish understands from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI).
However, the January figure is a 2.3% decrease from January 2023, when US steel mills shipped 7.55m net tons.
